Five rooms plus kitchen / approx. 100m2 / house 1953 (architect Henno Kamppuri) / family with four members
The client family wanted to have a well functioning home with improved daylighting and a cosy atmosphere. An apartment with 4 bedrooms, living-room and the kitchen was required, so the kitchen was relocated to dining area, adjustments were done to dividing walls and new openings were made between the living-room and hallway. They wanted to respect the original interior atmosphere and desired feeling of the Käpylä neighbourhood. MINIMO was requested to design the floor plan as spacious as possible and suggest a homely, warm and “hygge” material and color palette as a background for 1950’s style furniture.
